At the annual meeting it was suggested that some people would be willing to receive congregational mailings electronically to save paper and mailing costs. If you would like to do so, please indicate your willingness on the yellow sheet on the back table and clearly print your email address. Electronic mailings will be sent from scottmcandless@sympatico.ca and you may need to add this address to your "safe list" so that any mass mailing will not be rejected as junk.

PLEASE NOTE:

Please keep saving...: yarn and milk bags (outside ones), used eyeglasses, stamps, pennies, tin foil and pop can tabs. Containers are available in the foyer and on the entrance table.

Salvation Army Community Food Bank needs: is in need of fruit cups, juice boxes, Mr. Noodles, and especially Kraft Dinner.
Monetary gifts are also welcome. Please mark "Food Bank" on the envelope and include your envelope number or name and we will send it on to the Salvation Army. Please make cheques payable to "Knox Presbyterian Church".

Massive Earthquake Hits Chile: PWS&D Accepting Donations

An 8.8 magnitude earthquake-one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded-hit Chile on February 27, 2010, followed by at least six strong aftershocks over 6.0 magnitude.
Concepcion, one of Chile's largest cities, was the worst hit. The quake claimed more than 700 lives, destroyed 1.5 million homes, and damaged highways, bridges, hospitals and infrastructure for electricity and water.
Despite rain in the region, many people are sleeping outside, afraid of further aftershocks. Fuel, water and food are scarce.
The Action by Churches Together Alliance is working with the Chilean government to assess the situation and determine the best response.
Presbyterian World Service & Development is a member of the ACT Alliance and is accepting donations for this disaster. We will continue to post updates as they become available.
You can help those most affected by the earthquake in Chile through your prayerful and financial support.
You can make a donation to PWS&D by using the envelopes in the pews. Please make checks out to Knox and mark all donations "Chile Relief."

If you have announcements for the bulletin please fill out one of the sheets on the entrance table and leave it in the mail slot outside the office door, or leave a message on the answering machine by 8:00 a.m. on Thursdays.

Please keep saving... used stamps, used eyeglasses, tin foil and pop can tabs. Containers are provided on the entrance table and in the lower hall.

Just a reminder that some of our worshippers suffer severe allergies and other breathing problems.
Please keep this in mind when applying perfumes, colognes or after shave products.
Thank you.

Do you have a special event or celebration that we could announce in the pre-worship presentation? Please send any pictures and details to scottmcandless@sympatico.ca, or call the church office.
