On Sunday June 14,
at the congregational picnic, the congregation of Knox Presbyterian, Leamington
did something a little different during worship.
We played a game of Bible Jeopardy.
The idea in Bible Jeopardy is that you are given a famous
quotation from the Bible – something that someone said in answer to the question
– and you have to come up with the question that led to that answer.
But when we played the game, we played it with
a little twist.
If your team came up with the correct question (or got close enough), you
got one point for your team.
But there was another option.
You could come up with your own creative question.
If there was more than one creative question, the question was put to the
vote of the entire group and the team with the most creative question won
three points.
Here are some of the best questions (and remember, they
came up with these under extreme time pressures!):
Answer: "I
tell
you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” (correct question: Matthew
18:21) Creative questions:
